Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with its amazing large icon murals was the beautiful and traditional setting for the marriage of Sara Claerhout and Simon Zedan on August 31, 2018. Simon was enchanted by the love of his life as she was led down the aisle to meet him at the altar. The bride wore a spectacular gown of alençon lace having a plunging princess neckline, long sleeves, and mermaid shape ending in a court train. She wore an elbow length veil and carried a gorgeous bouquet of blush, dusty rose, and deep burgundy mums with fall greenery. Her jeweled shoes were the finishing touch.
The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Shed 3 Eastern Market, a 1922 historic Detroit venue recently renovated and on the National Registry of Historic Places. The bride changed into a lovely white knee length sleeveless dress with full skirt. The reception was festive and tons of fun. Guests were entertained by a professional traditional belly dancer. Opa!
Memorable moments throughout the day were seized in film with great joy by Adam and the Voice Media Collective. Sara and Simon, we wish you the very best!
